Jo McGilchrist loves treating 'golden oldies'. She finds nothing more empowering than giving her elderly patients their independence back so that they can get on with what is really important to them.

Jo is a local girl having studied at St.Georges and graduated in 2008. Thereafter she completed her junior physio rotations at Kings College Hospital including acute Elderly. She then did a static senior post in outpatients treating orthopaedic surgeries and musculoskeletal conditions.

She routinely rehabs elderly patients post-surgeries such as knee and hip replacements. She also rehabs broken bones, falls prevention, post falls and mobility. She is used to clients with many co-morbidities so if you are unsure whether she can help then please contact us. Due to the speciality of acute neurological conditions we do not cover this. Please refer to our recommended neuro physiotherapy services for this service.

Jo has a masters in rehabilitation and during the covid lockdowns returned to Kings College Hospital and the Nightingale to help rehab elderly patients so that they could get home as quickly, independently and safely as possible.

Did you know Jo's eldest patient is 100 and has progressed to mobilising outside with 2 walking sticks! Can you exceed this rehab triumph?!
